    Quick Creamy Tomato Soup

    List of Ingredients




    2 cups canned tomatoes w/juice
    pinch of soda
    1 can canned milk
    1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
    ¾ - 1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. basil leaves

    Recipe



    Dump tomatoes in medium saucepan and mash with potato masher until well "smushed". Heat to boiling over medium-high heat before adding the pinch of soda, then stir to disperse soda (it will foam up & that's okay).

    Add milk, worcestershire sauce and salt. Reduce heat and warm to serving temperature. Add basil a few minutes before serving (if using dry, crush the leaves before adding). Serve with a dusting of fresh ground black pepper if desired.
