Unstuffed Cabbage

List of Ingredients
6 cups cabbage, chopped
1/2 pound ground beef, lean
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup instant rice, uncooked
1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 10-3/4 oz. cans condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup water
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Recipe
1. Preheat oven to 350�. Grease a 2�-quart baking dish.(I used a 3-quart 13x9 baking dish)
2. Place cabbage in baking dish. In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
3. Stir in rice, salt (optional), and pepper; spoon over cabbage.
4. Combine water and soup; pour over beef mixture.
5. Cover and bake for 40-50 minutes or until rice and cabbage are tender. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
