    Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie

    1 (9 inch) frozen ready to bake pie shell
    1 package (4 serving size) cook and serve vanilla pudding mix
    2 cups milk
    1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup peanut butter chips
    Frozen whipped topping, thawed (optional)
    Miniature peanut butter cup candies, halved (optional)

    Bake pie shell according to package directions; let cool. In a medium saucepan, combine pudding mix and milk over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then remove from heat. Pour half of the pudding into a small bowl. Add chocolate chips to the bowl and stir until chips are completely melted. Pour into the pie crust.

    Add peanut butter chips to the remaining pudding and stir until chips are completely melted. Carefully pour the peanut butter mixture over the chocolate mixture; smooth top. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours, or until thoroughly chilled and set.

    Garnish with whipped topping and peanut butter cups, if desired, and serve.
