    List of Ingredients




    1 cup oats
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 1/4 cup boiling water
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 1/3 cup flour
    1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg

    Topping:
    6 tbsp butter or margarine
    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1/2 cup nuts
    1/2 cup coconut

    Recipe



    Pour boiling water over oats and butter. Let stand 20 minutes.

    Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees 30 to 40 minutes.

    *This recipe is from my grandma. The directions are very unclear. I don't know if the topping goes on before or after you bake the cake. Trial and error I suppose! ;)
