    Mix dough thoroughly and form into 2 balls. Cover with saran and chill at least 1 hour. Cut each ball in 1/2 and roll out into a circle on a floured surface. Make a large thin round. Sprinke with sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Cut dough into crescents (I use a pizza cutter) and roll from wide end in. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes.

    ** Use can use other fillings, such as jams sprinkled with coconut.

    *** I use parchment paper

    With pastry blender cut butter and flour till it resembles fine crumbs. Combine egg yolk and sour cream. Cover with saran and chill dough several hours or overnight. Divide dough into 4 parts. Roll out each portion into a 10" circle on a floured surface. Spread with preserves, coconut and nuts. Cut into 12 wedges and roll into a crescent shape. Sprinkle top with sugar and place on ungreased (or parchment paper) cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 to 18 min. or until lightly browned.

    ** You can also use cinnamon, sugar and nuts as the filling instead of Preserves.
