1 (18.5-ounce) package devil’s food cake mix without pudding
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Recipe
1. Drain pineapple, reserving liquid. Spread pineapple in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; add pie filling, spreading gently. Sprinkle dry cake mix over pie filling; top with pecans.
2. Combine butter and reserved pineapple liquid; drizzle on mixture in pan.
3. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 to 40 minutes. Cut into squares; top with whipped topping.
