Beat butter and cream cheese together until light and creamy; beat in vanilla. Gradually add the sugar. 2. Sift the flour and salt together and gradually beat into mixture. 3. Stir in the chopped pecans. 4. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Press into 2-inch rounds with base of glass dipped in water. 5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes; cool 2 to 3 minutes then transfer to wire racks. From “Family Cookbook # 5” Makes 24
