2. To make batter, cream together sugar, margarine and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Pour into bottom of a 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
3. To make fruit filling, bring fruit, sugar, water and margarine to a boil. Pour over batter (Do not Stir)
4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until cobbler pulls away from the sides of the dish.
