    Macaroni Bake

    Recipe Introduction


    From Southern living Annual recipes, 1993


    List of Ingredients


    • 8 oz elbow macaroni
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup chopped onions
    • 1/4 cup chopped red pepper
    • 2 cups (8 -ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese with peppers
    • 1 can cream of celery soup
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • Chili powder


    Instructions


    1. Cook the elbows. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven. Add the onion and peppers and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until crisp tender. Remove from heat.

    2. Stir in the cheese, soup and sour cream. Add the cooked macaroni.

    3. Spoon into a shallow 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with chili powder.

    4. Bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes.
