    List of Ingredients

    1 teaspoon salt

    2 tablespoons oil

    1 box ziti

    1/4 cup milk

1 red onion, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

2 tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

2 small green peppers, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

    6 sweet pickles, diced

    1 large shallot, minced
    DRESSING:
    1/2 cup sour cream

    1-1/2 cup mayonnaise

    2 packets of beef bouillon

    1 teaspoon red wine vinegar

    1 tablespoon sweet pickle juice

    1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    Chopped fresh dill for garnish

    Recipe

    1. Heat 4 quarts of water to boiling; add salt and oil. Stir in ziti. Return to boiling and cook until al dente, about 10 minutes. Rinse, drain and cool. Place ziti in a large bowl. Sprinkle with just enough milk to moisten, about 1/4 cup.

    2. Reserve a small amount of each vegetable for garnish. Add the rest to the ziti with the shallot and pickle. Toss well.

    3. To make dressing, in a medium bowl, combine the sour cream with the mayonnaise, bouillon, vinegar, pickle juice and 1/4 cup dill. Pour over ziti-vegetable mix. Toss well. Add salt and pepper to taste.

    4. Serve chilled, garnished with vegetables and chopped dill.

    Serves 8 to 10
