    1 large red onion

    1 large Spanish onion

    1/2 cup vegetable oil

    2 tablespoons white wine vinegar, or more to taste

    1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

    Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

    2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

    Recipe



    1. Peel the onions and cut into thin slices. Lay the slices in a dish in an attractive design.

    2. Mix together the oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt and pepper. Taste and correct the seasoning as needed.

    3. Pour the dressing over the onions and sprinkle them with parsley and chives.

    Serves 6
