- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup whole pecan halves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 cup butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, and butter and pat into greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread pecans evenly on top. In heavy saucepan, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar and butter and cook over medium heat until entire surface begins to boil; boil from 1/2 to 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour evenly over pecans and bake at 350 for 20 minutes until caramel layer is bubbly and crust is golden brown. Remove from oven, then immediately sprinkle with chips and let melt 2 minutes; swirl lightly, leaving some whole. Cool; cut in squares.
