    POLLY PIGTAIL FUDGE

    Source of Recipe

    My grandmother

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 cups white sugar
    • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
    • 3/4 cup milk
    • 2 Tbsp. butter
    • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
    • chopped nuts, coconut, or decorates, if desired

    Instructions

    1. Mix sugar and cocoa and add milk. Stir over high heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils; stop stirring and cook very slowly until it forms a soft ball in cold water, about 15 minutes. Remove from fire and add butter. When almost cold, add vanilla and beat until creamy. Grease a square pan lightly with butter. When mixture begins to stiffen, pour into pan and cut in squares. If desired, shape in balls before it hardens and roll them in cocoa, sugar coconut, or decorates.
