BAKED FISH WITH LEMON MUSHROOM SAUCE

- 2 pkg. frozen sole or haddock fillets
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions
- Place frozen fillets in shallow buttered baking dish. In saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes; pour over fillets. Top with 1 cup buttered breadcrumbs, lightly seasoned with poultry seasoning (or 1 cup buttered breadcrumbs, lightly seasoned with poultry seasoning (or 1 cup prepared stuffing mix.) Dot with butter and bake for 45 minutes at 375. Yield: 6 servings (may easily be halved).
