    List of Ingredients


    • Crust:
    • 1/2 cup warm milk (or enough to make a warm dough)
    • 2 Tbsp. margarine
    • 1 heaping Tbsp. yeast in 1/4 cup warm water
    • 2 cups flour
    • Filling:
    • 2 lb. white cabbage
    • 2 Tbsp. oil
    • 1/2 tsp. (scant) caraway
    • salt
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 cup sour cream
    • 1 Tbsp. flour
    • 1/2 lb. bacon ( more is better)


    Instructions


    1. Melt margarine in warm milk; add dissolved. yeast, then flour and mix thoroughly. Knead dough and let rise until almost double. Roll out to fit on base and sides of spring form pan. Fill with cabbage filling.
      Filling: Shred white cabbage and sauté it in oil to barely cook (about 10 minutes), making certain that it browns a bit. Season with salt and caraway and cool. Stir eggs, sour cream, and flour together. Put cabbage into pie shell. Pour egg mixture over . Cut bacon in small pieces and put on top. Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes.
