    List of Ingredients


    • 3 strips bacon, cut up
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 28 oz. can tomatoes, drained
    • 28 oz. can sauerkraut, drained
    • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    • pepper


    Instructions


    1. Fry bacon in large heavy skillet until pan is greased; add onion, and continue frying, stirring until bacon is cooked and onion is transparent. Chop the drained tomatoes coarsely and add to skillet along with sauerkraut, sugar, and a good grating of pepper. Bring to boil, turn down heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
