    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup milk
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 cup margarine
    2 packages active dry yeast
    1 egg
    4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup warm water

    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 cup melted butter

    Recipe



    Scald milk.
    Stir in sugar, salt and margarine.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Measure warm water into large warm bowl and sprinkle in yeast; stir until dissolved.
    Add lukewarm milk mixture, egg and 2 cups flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Stir in remaining 2 cups flour to make a stiff batter.
    Cover tightly with waxed paper or foil; refrigerate dough at least 2 hours.
    Dough may be kept in refrigeratior three days.
    To use, cut off amount needed and shape as desired.

    When ready to use:
    Divide dough in half.
    Roll 1/4" thick into a 8"x16" rectangle.
    Brush with melted butter.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar on douhg and fold in thirds.
    Slice with sharp knife.
    Twist each slice and place on buttered cookie sheet.
    Bake 10-12 minutes at 375°.
    Repeat for second half of dough.
