    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. bulk sausage
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 6-oz. box Uncle Ben’s Wild and Long Grain Regular Rice, (not fast cooking)
    1 8-oz. can mushrooms
    1 8-oz. can sliced water chestnuts
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 pkg. sliced almonds

    Recipe



    Cook rice according to recipe on box. Brown sausage, ground beef and onion in frying pay. Drain off fat and add soy sauce. (Use 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce) Spray casserole with Pam. Mix meat mixture and rice in casserole, adding mushrooms and water chestnuts. Even out and sprinkle almonds on top.
    Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 hour.
    May be made the night before and cooked or reheated the next morning. May be made in advance and freezes will.
