    GRANDMA'S FRIED POTATOES

    When my hubby and I got married in 1983 I could only cook a few things. My Mama had died when I was a little girl and my Daddy taught me some things and others I just had to learn on my own. A lot of my cooking today I have learned from Grandma Howell. I don't remember word for word exactly what she told me but this is the jest of it and the only way I fry potatoes.


    List of Ingredients




    5 or 6 Idaho Potatoes
    Oil

    Recipe



    Peel and wash potatoes. Cut into little cubes. Put enough oil in the bottom of skillet to cover bottom of skillet well.Heat oil over medium heat until hot. Carefully put in the potatoes,cover with a lid and stir occasionally. Fry for about 10 minutes covered then remove lid and fry until browned a little. Place on paper towels to drain oil.
