    2 cups flour
    12 tablespoons butter softened
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup almonds coarsely chopped
    jam
    powdered sugar

    Beat together flour, butter, sugar and almonds to a smooth dough.
    Chill. Roll out 1/8-inch thickness on floured board. Cut into 2-inch
    circles with a biscuit cutter. Cut out centers on half thee circles.
    Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Remove. Put jam on bottom cookes and place rings on top. Dust with
    powdered sugar. Makes about 20 cookies.
