I have made this recipe many times throughout the years. I originally posted the recipe to rec.food.cooking and it's floated around the internet. I copied and pasted the recipe from Astray Recipes where you can find it. It's also at Recipelnd too. The original recipe is from the red-and-white Betty Crocker Picture Cook Book.


List of Ingredients






1 3/4 c sugar
1/4 c margarine -- softened
1 lg egg
1/2 c skim milk
1 1/2 c flour
2 ts baking powder
1/2 ts salt
1/2 c brown sugar -- see directions
1 1/2 ts cinnamon -- see directions

Recipe





Mix together thoroughly sugar, margarine, egg. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk. Stir together and pour into 9-inch square pan. Make topping by combining brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over cake batter. Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 to 35 minutes.
