    List of Ingredients




    Cake
    2 cups flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup butter -- softened
    1 egg
    1 cup milk
    Crunchy Topping
    2 tablespoons butter -- softened
    1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
    2 tablespoons flour
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 cup coconut -- or chopped nuts

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.

    Sift together dry ingredients. Add softened butter, egg and milk. Beat hard 2 minutes. pour into prepared pan. Cover with Crunchy Topping. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm.

    Crunchy Topping: Mix with fork softened butter, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and coconut or nuts.

    Serves 9.
