List of Ingredients





Batter
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk -- or sour milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
Topping
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons soft butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Measure all Batter ingredients in order given into large mixing bowl. Beat 3 minutes. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Smooth surface. Sprinkle on Topping.

Using knife, cut in a light swirling motion to give a marbled effect. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
