    Easy to make and easy to serve later. I've made this recipe many times.


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 cups flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 4 teaspoons baking powder
    • 1 cup Crisco shortening
    • 2 packages yeast
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 2 cups buttermilk
    • 1 teaspoon sugar


    Instructions


    1. Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add yeast and buttermilk. Stir until dough is stiff. Roll out and cut into biscuits. Put on greased baking sheet. Freeze. Put in freezer bags and return to freezer.
    2. To Serve: Lightly grease a baking sheet and place frozen biscuits on prepared baking sheet. Put in cold oven. Set oven to 425 degrees F. NO PREHEAT. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
    3. Makes 2 dozen biscuits.
