The best dumplings you'll ever eat. YUMMY!!
List of Ingredients
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 egg -- well beaten
In a mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk to
beaten egg. Add all at once to flour mixture; blend to form a soft dough.
Drop dumpling dough into deep, hot bubbling stew or broth with a silver
serving spoon.
To prevent dough from sticking to spoon, first dip clean spoon into hot soup
or broth then into dough to form dumplings. Repeat until all the dumplings are
made.
Cook dumplings uncovered 8 minutes, then cover and cook for another 10 to 12
minutes or until dumplings test done.
Test dumplings with a toothpick, if the toothpick comes out clean, the
dumplings are done.
Remove dumplings to serving bowl and prick with a fork to prevent sogginess.
Makes 10 to 12 dumplings.
