    8 slices bacon
    1 pkg frozen green beans -- (16 oz)
    1 Tbl sugar
    1 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper

    Recipe





    Slice or dice bacon. In a large, heavy skillet, cook bacon until almost crisp. Add green beans and cover with water to the top of the pan. Add sugar, salt and pepper. Cover with lid slightly ajar. Cook slowly for about an hour, until liquid is gone and beans are very tender. Continue to cook and stir just until beans start to brown. Do not allow to burn. To freeze: Allow to cool and place in freezer bag or container. Label and freeze.

    To serve: Heat and serve.
