    List of Ingredients




    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. flour
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
    4 med. raw apples, peeled and shredded

    Sauce:
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. cream
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Recipe



    Cream sugar and butter, add egg. Mix dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. stir in nuts and grated apples. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

    Sauce: mix ingredients and heat thoroughly. Do not boil.

    To serve, cut cake into serving pieces and put on plate. Spoon sauce over cake.
