    Butterscotch Pie

    Tall Tales and Recipes from the New South

    INGREDIENTS:

    1/2 cup melted butter or margarine, cooled
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
    1/2 cup flour
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1/2 cup chocolate chips
    1/2 cup butterscotch chips
    1 unbaked (9-inch) pie shell

    TO PREPARE:

    * Combine the butter, eggs, sugar, brown sugar and flour in a
    bowl; mix well. Stir in the vanilla, pecans, chocolate chips
    and butterscotch chips. Spoon into the pie shell.

    * Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until the filling is
    set and the crust is golden brown. Serve with vanilla bean ice
    cream.

    SERVES 10
