Six-Layer Casserole
2 cups potatoes, sliced
2 cups celery, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 cup minced green bell pepper
1 can (14 ounce) diced tomatoes
Green bell pepper slices for garnish.
Preheat oven to 350 F
Butter a 2 quart casserole dish
In layers, in the order given, place potatoes, celery, ground beef, sliced onion, and minced green bell peppers.
Spoon tomatoes over vegetables in casserole.
Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until vegetables are tender.
Garnish with green pepper slices to serve.
6 to 8 servings.
