    Italian Beef Sandwiches

    1 (3 pound) boneless beef round rump roast
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon pepper
    1 cup water
    3 1/2 cups water
    1 teaspoon onion salt
    1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, crushed
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
    1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
    1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    Crusty Rolls


    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    Place roast in a large pot. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add 1 cup water.
    Cover pan and bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until roast is very tender. Remove roast from pan juices. Cover and chill roast and reserved juices.

    Thinly slice roast. Layer in a large saucepan. Skim fat from reserved pan juices; pour juices over meat. Add 3 1/2 cups water, onion salt, Italian Seasoning, Worcestershire Sauce, seasoning salt and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 15 minutes.

    Serve meat on crusty rolls with juices for dipping.
