Pop corn to make one gallon of popped corn. Put in large bowl. Set aside.
Combine following ingredients in a saucepan but do not stir:
2 cups white sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup
4 tablespoons butter (margarine)
Cook until amber colored.
These recipes would be made with my way of popping corn which is in a heavy 6 qt pan with popcorn oil and yellow grains of popcorn thar we get at WW. I use a lid but crack it just so the corn doesn't come out.I can't use the other kind as I just don't like it. I pop the corn, pour it in large pan and then shake it so the ones that don't pop go to the bottom and I put the good ones in a roaster bottom to make the popcorn balls.
Remove from heat and add 2 teaspoons water and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Stir. Immediately pour over popped corn and stir quickly. Form into balls. Once syrup cools, corn will not stick together.
ENJOY!!!!
