    Southern style Creamed Corn

    6-9 ears of sweet corn*
    1½ cups water/or milk
    ¼ cup butter
    2 tsp. sugar
    salt & pepper to taste

    Into a lg bowl

Cut corn top layer off the cob, then cut second layer, and then scrape the cob, getting the juices Then place all ingredients in a skillet, bring to a boil and turn low and simmer till kernels are tender and the corn has thickened. Sometimes you may need to use a little cornstarch and water to thicken, depends on what type corn you use.

    * I like to use Silver queen corn because to me it is sweeter and lg kernels. This can be frozen...
