    CHICKEN WINGS

    Source of Recipe

    Linda S
This recipe took first place at the recent Wing Ding at Hannibal Armory...Wow weee...It's a dandy...I love the sauce..

1 bag chicken wings (I'm not much of one for wings, so I bought boneless, skinless breasts and cut into 1 inch wide strips...worked great
    1 bottle Western salad dressing
    1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup hot sauce (may not need this much...it depends on how spicy you want it)
    3 cups flour
1/4 tsp of each: Garlic Salt, Cajun seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you want to add (I just used the ones listed)

In a gallon size ziploc bag, mix flour and the dry seasonings. Add 8-10 wings or strips of breast to flour mixture and shake until well coated. Repeat until all chicken has been coated. Deep fry until done. Usually this takes about 8-10 minutes per batch.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, mix Western salad dressing, stick of margarine and hot sauce...(up to 1 cup...I used the whole cup) Heat on low until warm. When wings are done, pour sauce over wings.

(I kept wings warm in oven until ready to serve with the sauce on them and it worked great.)
