    Panfried Pork Chops

    List of Ingredients


    • 9 pork chops
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 large onion chopped
    • Garlic (to taste 3-4 cloves at least)
    • 1/4 cup water


    Instructions


    1. Wash pork chops and pat dry and season with salt and pepper

    2. In large skillet (I use my cast iron skillet for this one) heat the oil
    3. Flour the pork chops and sear in the oil for about 1 min. per side to brown
    4. remove pork chops from skillet and place on a paper bag to absorb the oil.
    5. Put chops back in skillet and add the chopped onion, garlic and add 1/4 cup water
    6. Cover and steam chops for approx. 20 minutes


    Final Comments


    This recipe goes great with Collard Greens and corn bread.
