Recipe Introduction
These are great sandwich rolls - best eaten the day they're made - ours don't last too long.
List of Ingredients
1 1/4 cups milk -- 70-80 deg.
1 egg -- beaten
2 tablespoons butter -- softened
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 3/4 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons instant yeast -- (I use SAF yeast)
1 tablespoon butter -- melted
Recipe
In bread machine pan, place the first seven ingredients. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes of mixing; add 1-2 tbsp. water or flour as needed). When cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and punch down. Roll dough to 3/4" thickness; cut with a 2 1/2-in biscuit cutter (I use a larger one to make larger buns). Place on lightly greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 20-30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Brush tops immediately with melted butter.
