Recipe Introduction
I imagine these Texas folks know how to make a good taco soup.
This is the best recipe---and very easy to make. It makes a ton of food, too! (The Weight Watcher's version just uses fat free Hidden Valley mix.)
TACO SOUP
2 lbs of ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 can ranch style beans (plain)
1 can whole kernal corn (drained)
1 can kidney beans (drained)
1 small can chopped green chilies
3 cans diced tomatoes (reg. size)
2-3 cans water (I only use 2 cans---we like thick soup/more like stew)
1 pkg taco seasoning
1 pkg Hidden Valley ranch dressing mix
**Brown meat and onions. Put all ingredients in large pot. Simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
