    Christmas Eve Hot Chocolate

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
    • 1/4 cup sugar
    • 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons instant coffee
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • dash of salt
    • 3/4 cup water
    • 2 cups milk
    • Whipped Cream


    Instructions


    1. Heat chocolate, sugar, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and water in 1 1/2 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
    2. Heat to boiling and then turn to simmer. Simmer uncovered, stirring constantly.
    3. Top with whipped cream.
