    This is a cake my friend Lori always made and she used a light chocolate icing on it.

    List of Ingredients




    1/2 cup shortening
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 cups flour
    2 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp cloves
    1 cup milk

    Recipe



    Cream together shortening, sugar then add eggs. Mix in vanilla.

    Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture alternating adding the milk.

    Bake at 350 degrees in a 9 by 13 greased and floured pan for 30 minutes.

    It is wonderful with a light chocolate icing.
