    MY BUTTERMILK BREAD

    List of Ingredients


    • 6 cups unsifted flour
    • 3 Tbsp. sugar
    • 2 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    • 1 cup buttermilk
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/3 cup butter
    • 1 pkg. dry yeast


    Instructions


    1. Combine 2 cups flour with dry ingredients.
    2. Heat liquids till warm.
    3. Will look kurdled.
    4. Add to dry ingredients.
    5. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
    6. Add 1 cup of flour.
    7. Beat on high to 2 min.
    8. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. (about 2 cups)
    9. Knead on floured board for 8 to 10 min.
    10. Placed in greased bowl.
    11. Cover and let rise till doubled. (about 1 hour)
    12. Punch out down and cut into rolls or make 2 loaves.
    13. Let rise again.
    14. Bake at 375 until brown.
