    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cup shortening
    • 1 lb. light brown sugar
    • 1 cup white sugar
    • 5 eggs
    • 3 cups flour
    • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1 cup chopped nuts


    Instructions


    1. Cream shortening and sugars mix well.
    2. Add eggs, beating well.
    3. Sift dry ingredients together.
    4. Add alternately with milk.
    5. Add vanilla and nuts.
    6. Pour into prepared tube pan.
    7. Bake about 1 hour at 350.
