ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD

List of Ingredients
- 1 large head, Napa cabbage, shredded
- 2 bunches green onions, thinly sliced
- 2 pkgs Ramen noodles, broken
- 1 oz sesame seeds
- 2 T. butter or margarine
- Dressing:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 T. soy sauce
Instructions
- Combine cabbage and green onions in a very large bowl and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add noodles, almonds and sesame seeds and cook until browned, stirring constantly. Add to cabbage mixture and toss together well.
- In small saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil and soy sauce and heat to a boil. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat and stir to combine thoroughly.
- Pour hot dressing over cabbage/noodle mixture and toss well.
- Salad can be served warm or chilled.
Final Comments
Variation: Dice or slice and add two grilled chicken breasts and make it a meal.
