    ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 large head, Napa cabbage, shredded
    • 2 bunches green onions, thinly sliced
    • 2 pkgs Ramen noodles, broken
    • 1 oz sesame seeds
    • 2 T. butter or margarine
    • Dressing:
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup white vinegar
    • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 T. soy sauce


    Instructions


    1. Combine cabbage and green onions in a very large bowl and set aside.

    2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add noodles, almonds and sesame seeds and cook until browned, stirring constantly. Add to cabbage mixture and toss together well.

    3. In small saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil and soy sauce and heat to a boil. Boil for one minute. Remove from heat and stir to combine thoroughly.

    4. Pour hot dressing over cabbage/noodle mixture and toss well.

    5. Salad can be served warm or chilled.



    Final Comments


    Variation: Dice or slice and add two grilled chicken breasts and make it a meal.
