    HARRY'S SOS

    Recipe Introduction


    This is the specialty of another of our camping friends. He usally makes it out of wild game.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 pound ground meat
    • 1 minced onion
    • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
    • 3 or 4 stiff dashes of tabasco sauce diluted with
    • 1/2 can of non-alcoholic beer (or as Harry calls it "sissy beer")
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Brown the meat and onions and drain. Add the mushroom soup, tabasco sauce and beer. If needed add a little milk to make a nice thick sauce. Add salt and pepper. Simmer until done. Place on toasted English muffin or toasted bread. This must be eaten out of doors to make it extra special.

    2. Variation #11 pound of ground beefminced onions1 cup milk floursalt and pepper to taste.Brown meat in heavy skillet, Add onions. Make a white sauce of milk and flour, salt and pepper and add to meat mixture. Simmer gently until done.

    3. Variation # 2.1 pound ground meat1 cup milk Kitchen Bouquet1 envelope Knorr"s onion soupflour and water to thicken Brown meat in heavy skillet. Add onion soup mix and milk barely to cover. Cook 5 minutes. Thicken with flour and water. Color with Kitchen Bouquet until you reach the color you want. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve over toasted English muffins or toast.
