    IMP'S PORK CHOP CASSEROLE

This is really yummy and is also posted in the archives by Imp aka Kathy.

    List of Ingredients

    • 6 pork loin chops (1/2 inch think), fat trimmed off
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 3/4 ounces)
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    • 1 cup shredded chedder cheese, divided
    • 1 cup (2.8 ounces) French-fried onions, divided ( I used a can)
    • 1 (24 ounces) package frozen Hash Brown O'Brien potatoes--Thawed
    • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

    Instructions

    1. In a skillet over medium high, brown the pork chops in oil, set aside.
    2. Combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper, 1/2 cup of the cheese, and 1/2 cup of the French fried onions. Fold in the potatoes. Spread in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish. Arrange chops on top. Sprinkle with the seasoning salt.
    3. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until por is tender.
    4. Uncover; sprinkle with the remaining cheese and french fried onions. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

    Final Comments

I bet if you didn't want to use pork chops, you could use pieces of chicken or chicken breasst. I would think you would not cook it quite as long. Maybe 30 to 35 minutes instead. Will have to try that too.
