    MONA'S GRANOLA BARS

    So good. Great for camping.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
    • 3/4 cup sugar
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 teaspoon almond extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 tablespoons orange juice
    • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/2 cup raisins
    • 1/2 cup granola ceral
    • 1/4 cup chopped nuts


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
    2. Cream butter and add sugar. Mix in egg, extracts, and orange juice. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon, barely blending. Stir in raisins, granola ceral, and chopped nuts. Bake in a 9 x 9 inch square pan for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
    3. Recipe can be doubled and baked in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.


    Final Comments


    When the pan was cool I turned the pan upside down on a cutting board, flipped the granola square over, and cut into bars with a long sharp knife.
