    Use the leanest ground beef you can find. Add chopped veggies for texture and increased nutrition content.

    Cook Time: 60 minutes
    Total Time: 80 minutes



    List of Ingredients






    1 lb ground beef
    1 egg
    2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
    2 tbsp brown mustard
    1 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
    salt and pepper
    garlic
    dried basil
    pinch cayenne pepper
    chopped onion
    chopped celery
    3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
    3/4 cup Wheatsworth crackers, crushed
    2 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tsp Worchestershire sauce

    Recipe











    1. Combine beef, egg, 1 can of tomato sauce, 1-2 tablespoons of brown mustard, 1 tablespoon of Worcesteshire sauce and seasonings. Add onion. If adding other chopped vegetables i.e. bell pepper, add now. Mix well.

    2. Add bread crumbs and Wheatsworth crackers until you get the right consistency - substantial but not too wet, not crumbly & dry.

    3. Form into 2 loafs and cook in loaf pans @ 350 for 45-60 minutes.

    4.To prepare the topping heat 1 can tomato sauce, 1 tsp worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and 1 Tblsp brown mustard in saucepan. Pour over top of loaves only for last 5-10 minutes in oven. Save back a little to pour over individual servings.
