    Mom Cartner's Chinese Style Fried Rice

    Yields: 3-4 servings


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups water
    • 1 1/2 cups minute rice
    • 1 egg beaten
    • 3 tbs butter
    • 1/3 cup chopped onion
    • 2-3 tbs soy sauce


    Instructions


    1. bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a sauce pan. Stir in rice. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, Cook egg in butter in a 10" skillet until set, add onion and the rice and cook over medium heat until rice and onion are lightly browned [ about 5 min.]
    3. Combine remaining water and the soy sauce, stir into rice.
