Recipe Introduction
I finally found a mix I really enjoy for my chili recipe. I never write down what I use, this time I did. It will serve 6
List of Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 -14 oz can of diced tomato garlic & basil with juice
- 1 Lg can of whole tomato with juice
- 1 can Bush Chili Starter
- 1 Lg onion ,chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Lg green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 C. strong brewed coffee
- 2-3 TBS chili powder, or to taste
- 1 Tsp oregano
- 2 cans -14 oz dark kidney beans, drained
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown beef and onion in a large dutch oven.
- Add the rest of the ingredients into the dutch oven and stir to combine all ingred.
- Bring to a boil and then turn to simmer with lid for 30 min. Remove lid and stir and simmer to reduce some of the liquid if you prefer thick chili.
- I am guessing at the cooking time. You want all the vegetables to be tender.
Final Comments
I also squeezed each tomato to reduce size, it also makes more juice. Enjoy
