    Rich Peach Cobbler

    Source of Recipe

    Mimi B.

    List of Ingredients

2 16oz. cans sliced peaches in syrup (heavy or lite)
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder

    Recipe

Pour peaches and syrup into a large saucepan, and heat until bubbly. Pour melted butter in the bottom of a 9X9 baking pan.
Combine flour, sugar and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Stir in milk until just moistened (still lumpy). Pour batter over butter in pan. Pour fruit and syrup over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until golden brown.

*Cinnamon sugar can be sprinkled over the top about halfway through baking time, if desired. Strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries can also be added with the peaches.

**For 9X13 pan, use 1 1/2 times the above ingredients. (use 2-29oz. cans or 3-16oz. cans of peaches, draining 1 can.)

Tip: Put a cookie sheet on the rack under the pan in the oven, just in case any of the juice bakes over.
