    Homemade Laundry Detergent- *Revised*

    Source of Recipe

    One good thing by Jillee

    Recipe Introduction

I have been using this recipe for moree than 10 years and like it much better than the one that uses bar soap... It cleans just as well as the other with much less work. I like the addition of the scent booster too!

    List of Ingredients

    3 tbl. washing soda
    3 tbl. Borax
    2 tbl. Dawn dish detergent
    1/2 c. fragrance booster crystals

    To make 5 gallons--
    1 c. Borax
    1 c. washing soda
    2 c. fragrance crystals (optional)
    1/2 c. Dawn

    Recipe

Put all ingredients in a one gallon jug. Pour 4 cups boiling water into the jug. Swirl until ingredients are dissolved in the liquid. Let liquid cool. Then fill almost to the top with cold water...just letting the bubbles flow out of the bottle.

Dawn dish detergent works best because it is a grease-cutter.

    Use 1/2 c. per washload
