    Laundry Pre-Treater

    Source of Recipe

    Mrs. Fixit

    Recipe Introduction

I have always used Zout, with great success, to pretreat laundry stain. Unfortunately, it is no longer available in my area. I came across this recipe a few months ago on the MrsFixit website and have been using it ever since!! Works great.... and certainly is alot cheaper!!

    List of Ingredients

    bar soap**
a jar with tight fitting lid
    a pot of boiling water.

    **I use Ivory

    Recipe

TIP 1 - Use a half a bar of soap or hotel size bars and break them up into small piece. Put the pieces into a pan of boiling water.

TIP 2 - Use a wooden spoon to stir the mixture until it's all melted into the water.

TIP 3 - Once it's cooled, pour it into the jar. The soap and water mixture will jell up and get gloppy.

TIP 4 - The jelly is what will treat those stains. Just put some on the stains and then toss them in the hamper or washer.

TIP 5 - The mixture won't harm fabrics that are safe to wash. Keep a jar close to your laundry so it's right there when you need it.
